You clicked the button.
Nothing happened.
So naturally…
you clicked it again.
And suddenly, you have two orders.
Or two payments.
Or two bookings.
Or absolutely no idea what just happened.
The button worked perfectly when you clicked it once.
But the second click?
Chaos.
This is one of those bugs users accidentally discover faster than testers do.
Because in the real world, people don’t click once and patiently wait for a loading spinner to finish its spiritual journey.
They click again.
And sometimes again.
That’s why QA has to test what happens when a user does the very normal thing of not waiting.
What if the user double-clicks?
What if they click while the request is still processing?
What if the network is slow and they assume the first click didn’t work?
What if the button stays active after the request is sent?
What if two requests reach the server?
A button looking functional doesn’t mean the feature behind it is safe.
Good QA tests the messy, impatient, very human version of the user.
Because users aren’t going to say:
“Let me carefully perform one click and wait for the API response.”
They’re going to say:
“Why isn’t this working?”
And click it again.
That second click is where the bug was hiding.
